Simplyendo is simply the best!

As a dental professional there are many areas that you will face on a day-to-day basis. From general dentistry such as check ups and fillings, to cosmetic treatments like whitening and bonding, through to perio and endo surgeries that are rather more involved. It is natural for each individual to enjoy carrying out some treatments more than others, and to feel less confident in some areas.

Luckily, there is a wealth of further educational options available to help individuals progress in their desired areas or boost confidence where skills or experience feels lacking. Here at simplyendo we know that while some practitioners love root canal treatments, others find it a little more nerve wracking, which is why our courses cater for a wide variety of skillsets.

Here, we spoke to recent delegate, Irina Beleva, about her simplyendo experience…

“I had been focusing heavily in the restorative and aesthetic aspects of dentistry but I knew I had to improve my endodontic skills because I felt anxious undertaking root canal treatments, almost as though I was missing something. I decided that I needed to take a good course and it was during the simplyendo 10-day programme that I realised I was right all along – what I had been missing was my confidence.

“A colleague of mine was doing the MSc program at simplyendo at the time and recommended the 10-day programme as a good foundation. In addition, I did my own research with regards to available courses and found the reviews for simplyendo were simply the best! I realised that it would be much easier to combine simplyendo’s course with my schedule, compared to any other programme. After I spoke with Julie on the phone and she explained all of the options in detail, including the opportunity for further study, and I felt sure that this was the right course for me.

“I’ve enjoyed every single day of the course and keep doing it, as I am already in one of the PG Dip groups. I love the atmosphere, I enjoy meeting with peers to discuss endodontic hot topics, and working with the latest equipment and materials is truly a wonderful experience. The simplyendo team members are fantastic and always very helpful, and the venue is great… I really don’t think that there is a better or more advanced study venue elsewhere in the UK.”

Of course, there is so much more to just learning a new skill, what about the practicality of applying it when you get back to the practice? Irina continues…

“I am much more confident. I believe that after the 10-day programme my diagnostic and prognostic skills were boosted tremendously. The hands-on sessions also helped me by improving my pattern of work, dexterity and feel of different files. I have now tried most of the files available on the UK market, which has been extremely advantageous for finding the file that works best in my own hands.

“I can now take on more complex cases than before. Initially I started taking internal referrals, now I take on some referrals from out of the practice. Recently, I’ve started working in another dental surgery twice a month as a dentist with special interest in endodontics and I take endo referrals only there. I find this very exciting and rewarding.

“I have definitely seen an increase in profit but I will know exactly how much after my accountant sends me the bill! It has been just over a year since I’ve started the 10-day programme and my earnings have far outweighed the investment so I am really happy.

“I would advise anyone to go for the 10-day course, it is amazing and literally changed my perception of endodontics. I used to view endo as a dry subject but I now see it as a developing area with new materials and modified techniques; it is something I find rather enjoyable now.

“Whether you decide to go ahead with the MSc or decide that the 10-day programme is enough to improve your skills, there is no doubt that it will broaden your horizons, be beneficial for your practice, and give your working protocols a complete makeover – I can’t recommend it highly enough!”
