Our tutors all have an MSc in Endodontology from various teaching institutes in the North West. They each bring a wealth of knowledge and experience when it comes to diagnosing, planning, and treating complex endodontic cases. They’re also highly experienced at mentoring students with their postgraduate studies.
Our clinical team are all qualified dental nurses, some of whom have over 20 years’ experience as an endodontic nurse. We assign two members of the clinical team to each hands-on room, to assist the tutor and the delegates with the practical sessions in the afternoons. They know everything there is to know about endodontics.
Our admin team consist of ex sales personnel from some of the largest endodontic companies in the world. We also have colleagues who are experts when it comes to writing academically and anything essay related.
Administration
I love animals so I always love spending time with my dog Jasper and sometimes bring him into work, as after all he is a working dog!
I make sure the Assessment & Monitoring process runs smoothly, I develop and improve our business processes and related documentation, I manage Fire Safety, and I pick up any other tasks I can squeeze in to reduce Mike’s workload so he can spend more time doing the things he enjoys most!
I absolutely love wild camping and grab every opportunity I can to escape to peaceful places and soak up nature’s energy in the middle of nowhere, leaving nothing but footprints! I also grab any opportunity to get out dancing, and to make special memories with my family & friends.
I love going on holiday with my family and friends to absolutely anywhere! I enjoy spending time at home also with family in the garden with a G&T in one hand, the music loud and everyone having a good old boogie!
My role is technical support, but I also help out with various projects, incoming enquiries, and supporting the tutors as / when needed. I have a degree in Business Management from the Open University and at some point, I would like to do a masters.
Outside of work I’m interested in F1 / cars / boats / aeroplanes / horology / music / cooking / walking.
I currently work in a Quality role, producing simplyendo documentation that helps us to continually improve our service and to ensure a consistent approach. I also manage our continuous improvement plan and COSHH. I work from home so you may not see me on your visits to Formby.
Away from work I love to read and socialise with friends (when I have time… as I have 2 wonderful children who take up most of my time!)
Clinical
My spare time is always planning my next holiday to somewhere sunny!
My role involves ensuring that everything is in place for hands on sessions, assisting the tutor and supporting the students during hands on sessions.
I love spending time with my family and enjoy challenging myself in boot camps to keep fit.
I graduated from the University of Chester with a Foundation Degree in Dental Science, and later joined the simplyendo team in 2019, where my role is to make sure the hands on sessions run smoothly for the students and staff.
Outside of work I enjoy taking my dog on long walks, watching football, socialising, and enjoying my holidays in the sun
My role has evolved and changed with time as simplyendo has grown and developed new business pathways for our students. I manage the logistics of equipment and materials in preparation for ONLINE Courses, ensuring that simplyendo students have the best possible experience and have all they need to do so. I also manage the simplyendo tooth bank regarding the storage of extracted teeth and liaise with Dental Suppliers for stock materials.
I enjoy travelling, walking with my dogs, dining out and listening to music.
I joined simplyendo in 2010 working in the private referral practice in Manchester.
In May 2021 I was delighted to be given the opportunity to join the team at Formby college, where I help with the hands on courses.
Away from work I love spending time with my family & friends, walking my dog and keeping fit at the gym. I also like to challenge myself and became a ‘Tough Mudder’ in 2021 after completing a gruelling 10 mile obstacle course… mud-soaked mayhem!
I prepare the hands on rooms ready for teaching, and then support the tutor and students during the hands on sessions.
When I’m not in work I enjoy spending time with friends and family.
Tutors
I have a master’s degree in endodontics from Manchester, where I have taught postgraduate dental students on a part-time basis. I established simplyendo in 1998 to focus on endodontic treatments. I launched the simplyendo education programmes in 2003, and they have proved to be very popular with dentists who wish to advance their knowledge and skills in this field. The programmes are offered at several locations in the UK. These programmes have now been accredited to full Masters degree level and I spend about 50% of my time teaching and sharing my experiences and knowledge of endodontics with my professional colleagues. A member of the British Endodontic Society, I regularly speak at national and international endodontic meetings and arranges demonstrations of new endodontic techniques.
I am certified Dentsply trainer having been to Maillefer, Switzerland. I own a busy private practice in Prescot, Merseyside with my wife Emma, where I accept referrals for endodontic treatment. I have been a tutor at simplyendo since 2015 and very much enjoy being part of the simplyendo team.
I’ve been taking referrals for endodontic treatment since 2011 and limited my clinical practice to endodontics in 2016. I currently accept endodontic referrals (non-surgical and surgical) at Witton Street Dental Practice, Northwich and Oracle Dental Clinic, Shrewsbury. Prior to this I previously worked for 5 years in the simplyendo® endodontic referral clinic in Altrincham.
Following this I then went on to complete a Senior House Officer role in maxillofacial surgery. I then worked in general practice in the south west of England and in the Midlands. Working exclusively in private practice since 2004. Currently, I am a partner at Tupsley Dental practice in Hereford which I joined in 2008. My time is split between general dentistry and taking referrals for endodontics and I am also a part time lecturer at simplyendo®.
I have obtained his MFGDP from the Royal College of Surgeons and an MSc in Endodontology from the University of Chester.
In my spare time, I enjoy water skiing, sailing, mountain biking and coaching rugby.
I no longer actively teach at Formby but am still very involved with simplyendo and I thoroughly enjoy working in the background for delegates as they take their first steps into the world of endodontics.
In my spare time I like walking the countryside with by black Labrador, Hudson. I have a love hate relationship with gardening but love cooking, especially Asian food. The best time of the day for me is the evening when I relax with a good book.
