Founder of the charity Oral Health Arica and a Sensodyne ambassador, Yolande Fisher takes time to explain why she embarked on her endodontic journey with simplyendo.
Working with predominately families in a private dental practice in the heart of Somerset, Yolande having already obtained a qualification in Prosthodontics decided she wanted to improve her skills in endodontics as she felt she was lacking in confidence and wanted to achieve more consistent results with confidence.
Choosing simplyendo was an easy decision, having heard great reviews from previous delegates who spoke highly of our 10-Day Programme.
With Yolande having a young family, the option to complete the programme online allowed her the flexibility she required, after completion of the 10-days Yolande opted to attend a one-on-one session with Mike to get some hands-on time with some of specialist equipment we use throughout the programme. Yolande had a great day as did we, it was a delight to welcome her to Formby.
We asked Yolande a few questions, what she enjoyed most about the programme and what difference carrying out our programme made to her everyday practice?
‘The passion from the tutors about the programme was infectious. I enjoyed how well the concepts were explained and how all the kit and material I needed was provided for me’
‘The quality of my root treatments has improved significantly, and I have a better knowledge base to work from. I also better understand my limitations and the risks associated with certain cases. ‘
Has attending our programme changed your mindset to Endodontics?
‘Absolutely, its’ changed it from something to be slightly feared to a challenge to look forward to, the intricacies of the anatomy provide a good mental exercise that I’ve come to enjoy’ I have already recommended this course to other associates in my practice as it is a practical and well organised way to up skill in the area of endodontics, as well as providing a flexible avenue of attaining higher qualifications in the topic.
Yolande is looking to come back in the next couple of years to complete the full MSc. On behalf of all the team at simplyendo we would be delighted to welcome her back.
